I don't know how flowers become so beautiful after they die. For the first time instead of hanging my dead flowers, I pressed them in a book for a few days. They are so simply, subtly beautiful and wonderfully desaturated. What a simple pleasure that is so easy to forget about.
"Send me dead flowers every morning. Send me dead flowers by the mail. Send me dead flowers to my wedding, and I won't forget to put roses on your grave."
